‘Mick Loves Anikka’ Wins Gonzo Release of the Year at 2017 XBIZ Awards
VENICE, CA – Anikka Albrite, along with her husband Mick Blue and their production company BAM Visions, kicked off awards season with some big wins at the 2017 XBIZ Awards last week.
At the ceremony held at the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles last week the Gonzo Release of the Year trophy went to Mick Loves Anikka (BAM Visions/Evil Angel). The movie was a celebration of the couple’s love and was the first release they ever directed together. It also marked the 20th movie released by BAM Visions and was a four-and-a-half-hour movie a year in the making.
“We’ve been blessed to have so much success in this industry and we’re always looking for ways to produce the best product for our fans and for ourselves, too,” Anikka said when it was released over the summer. “In Mick Loves Anikka we not only got to fulfill some of our fantasies, but we got to create the most amazing scenes we have ever done in the process.”
The voters clearly agreed.
Porn’s #1 Couple also shared in another major award; Best Sex Scene – Feature Release. Mick and Anikka were joined by Sara Luvv in this scene for Babysitting the Baumgartners, the Adam & Eve blockbuster that starred the real life couple as the fictional couple created by Selena Kitt in her popular book. Kay Brandt directed the movie, which was Adam & Eve’s showcase release of 2016.
“Shooting Babysitting the Baumgartners was very special for both Mick and myself,” Anikka said. “It was a really intense shoot and an incredible movie. We were really proud to be a part of the production and so proud of the Best Sex Scene award.”
Anikka also hosted the XBIZ red carpet with Angela White.
Anikka will be extremely busy at this week’s Adult Entertainment Expo. She will be signing for Adam & Eve, Fleshlight, Jules Jordan Video and AVN. In her spare moments she will swing by the Evil Angel booth.
She has 22 nominations for this weekend’s 2017 AVN Awards. The nominations include Female Performer of the Year, four Best Scene noms, Best Solo/Tease Performance, as well as 13 noms for BAM Visions releases.
